Spring is approaching
as casually as a cat
that believes it can
walk on tiptoe as far
as the thinnest branch
of the tallest tree.

It’s so green,
replete with hope,
it’s so naive. Yet
it always returns
and every time we smile,
we go out in the street
to welcome it
and accept as always
its illusions, its gift.
